Students entering 2nd grade in 2026 and their parents are invited to attend a special class taught by Pastor Koenig and designed specifically for families at this age. As your child learns and grows, and especially as they begin to read more and more, we at Redeemer want to put God’s Word into their hands!

To that end, Redeemer would like to gift your family, and specifically your second grade student, with a “Growing in Faith” Bible. This Bible contains the full text of the English Standard Version, along with many other helpful resources and tools for young biblical scholars!

A special two-week class will be offered to second grade students and their parents on the dates and times listed below.

Nixa Campus:

Week 1 – Sunday, August 23, 2026 – 9:30AM
Week 2 – Sunday, September 6, 2026 – 9:30AM

Springfield Lutheran School:

Week 1 – Tuesday, September 1, 2026 – 5:30PM
Week 2 – Tuesday, September 8, 2026 – 5:30PM

Springfield Campus:

Week 1 – Sunday, September 13, 2026 – 9:30AM
Week 2 – Sunday, September 20, 2026 – 9:30AM

All Redeemer and SLS 2nd Grade families are invited to choose a location and time works well for their family, and then join us for the classes! We do ask that at least one parent or faith mentor attend the class with their second grader. We will decorate our Bibles, mark important passages, and of course study God’s Word together!

Then, after the classes, students will receive their Bibles, along with a blessing, during one of Redeemer’s Church services. Bible blessings will be given on September 6 in Nixa and September 20 in Springfield.
