What is Camp Chi Rho?
Camp Chi Rho is Redeemer’s summer camp for kids who have completed grades 3-8. Camp usually takes place near the first week of July.
At Camp Chi Rho, kids have fun singing around the campfire, learning from amazing devotions and Bible studies, eating great food, creating new friendships during cabin time, and enjoying s’mores, swimming, canoeing, Water Olympics and more!
What is Camp Childress?
Over the past couple of years, Camp Chi Rho has been hosted at a YMCA camp - Camp Wakonda. But this year, Camp Chi Rho is returning to Camp Childress!
Camp Childress is an outdoor camping reserve that has been dedicated to outdoor camps and youth education since 1961! We're so blessed to enjoy new experiences at Camp Childress!
Just like in former years, students will be split up into age appropriate cabin groups. Some of these groups will lodge in bunkrooms similar to the cabins at Wakonda and some of these groups will be able to experience tent camping with cots. The Chi Rho planning team is working to make sure all students have air conditioning in their lodging (even our tents will have portable air conditioning units).
We're looking forward to returning to a place where so many of our camp alumni have good memories!
