Today’s reading: Psalm 19

Let the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Lent is the Christian season of spiritual preparation before Easter. During Lent, many Christians observe a period of fasting, repentance, moderation, self-denial, and spiritual discipline.

The purpose of the Lenten season is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ – to consider His suffering and His sacrifice, His life, death, burial and resurrection.

Prayer:

Lord, may I always set aside time for reflection on You.
