God’s World

Josh Wanner40DOD

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

– Genesis 1:28

God provides everything. We live in “God’s World.” He fills this world; land, sea and air, with the blessings of many creatures and plants for us to enjoy and “rule over.” If you have ever had the opportunity to spend time outdoors, you realize the wonder of God’s creation all around you and how important it is that we protect those wonders.

I am a person who enjoys the outdoors and everything about it! When hunting, fishing, camping, etc., I witness God and His mighty creative hand every time I get a chance to be outdoors. While God has called us to “rule over” His creation, we must remember that being a good steward of His blessings are the most important job we have. Only harvest what is needed to sustain, be careful not to waste a harvest and share with others so that they also can enjoy the blessings God has bestowed upon us.

I truly enjoy the opportunities to hunt and fish, but the opportunity to share with friends and families in need is the true blessing. God provides for us; He always has and always will. Let us strive to be good stewards of His many blessings.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father. Help me to remember that while you provide many blessings, it is my job to be a good steward of the blessings.
