Maundy Thursday Worship

Thursday, April 18 at both campuses of Redeemer Lutheran Church

Thursday of Holy Week was a monumental day in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. On that day He washed the disciples’ feet and commanded us to do the same. He instituted the Lord’s Supper, named His betrayer, prayed in the garden and was arrested as a criminal.

Come worship the King who washes our feet. Maundy Thursday services start in Nixa at noon and at 7:00 pm and in Springfield at noon and at 7:15 pm.

Good Friday Tenebrae Worship

Friday, April 19 at both campuses of Redeemer Lutheran Church

Friday of Holy Week is the day God died – and darkness covered the land.

Our worship this day is somber and filled with awe as we contemplate the dreadful price paid for our redemption. At the same time, we are filled with amazement and joy at the depths of Christ’s love for us and the value He places in us. He willingly sacrificed His life so we could be His.

Come worship the King who left His throne and gave His all for us. Good Friday services start in Nixa at noon and 7:00 pm and in Springfield at noon and 7:15 pm.

Easter Vigil Service

Saturday, April 20 (Springfield campus only)

We will conclude the 24-hour prayer vigil with an Easter Vigil service. It starts outside around a bonfire, and then the light from that fire is brought into the sanctuary. Where all light had been slowly extinguished during the Tenebrae service on Good Friday, the new light slowly grows as we wait for the resurrection of Jesus. At the end we celebrate His new life and the new life He gives each of us in His victory over the grave.

The Easter Vigil Service begins at 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 20. For more information, contact the church office at 417-881-5470.
