What Is Camp Chi Rho?

Camp Chi Rho is Redeemer’s summer camp for kids who have completed grades 3-8. Camp usually takes place near the first week of July.

At Camp Chi Rho, kids have fun singing around the campfire, learning from amazing devotions and Bible studies, eating great food, creating new friendships during cabin time, and enjoying s’mores, swimming, canoeing, Water Olympics and more!

Camp Chi Rho is hosted at Camp Childress in Joplin, MO.

How Can I Serve?

What Do Camp Staffers Do?
Camp staffers serve in a variety of roles such as cabin counselors, recreation leaders, kitchen prep/service, craft leaders, and more! Staffers should be prepared to serve wherever they're needed with a joyful heart.

Who Can Serve
Anyone who has completed 9th grade by summer 2026 and is prepared to serve where they're needed with a joyful heart is welcome to apply!

When Will I Serve?

Camp staffer are required to attend three mandatory training sessions:

Wednesday, June 3rd
(Springfield Fellowship Hall;
6-8pm)

Sunday, June 7th
(Nixa Fellowship Hall;
6-8 pm)

Saturday, June 13th
(Springfield Fellowship Hall;
6-8 pm)

Camp staff will be at camp June 27th-July 3rd.
