In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
– Genesis 12:3
As we survey the pain and problems in our broken world, it’s easy to spiral into despair and overwhelm. The great news, of course, is that it’s not us who saves, heals, and delivers—it’s Jesus! We remember that (thankfully!) He is in control, not us. Yet incredibly, He chooses to work through us to accomplish His good purposes on Earth by equipping us with the power of the Holy Spirit.
We walk in step with the Spirit as we surrender our everyday moments to Him. Instead of asking God to bless our plans or fix things as we see fit, we pray, “Lord, open my eyes to what You’re doing. Guide my steps. Lead me in the way You desire.”
True surrender means praying throughout the day for guidance and discernment, then listening and responding to the Spirit’s promptings. Whether it’s offering encouragement, praying with others, or giving freely of our time and resources—it’s an exciting, faith-filled way to live!
Just as God promised Abraham that all nations would be blessed through his faith, our obedience to the Spirit’s leading creates a ripple effect and advances the Kingdom.
Pushing back the powers of darkness and bringing forth God’s power and purposes on Earth requires believers – the Body of Christ – to walk in the fullness of His design for our lives. As we rely on the Holy Spirit, we trust that He is faithful to equip and strengthen us for every good work, providing all that we need each step of the way.
Prayer:
Lord, we praise You! Thank You for equipping us to bless our world. Open our eyes to Your work and guide our steps. Set our hearts on fire for You, unite the Body of Christ, and ignite in us a passion to follow wherever You lead.
